Collection: Still life

Still lifes represent the compositions of everyday objects: fruits, flowers, vases, dishes, game or others. Although it is an ancestral artistic tradition, this terminology did not really become established until the 18th century. Other expressions are nevertheless very appropriate, such as "dead nature" in French (nature morte) or "kitchen corner" in Spain (bodegón).
